Farm Holiday Lets, Kintyre
Owned and worked by the Gemmill family since 1949, Ifferdale Farm encompasses 780 acres of the heavenly Saddell Glen. The farmhouse is at the top of the glen, 1.5 miles from the main road. We have recently renovated the steading to provide bunkhouse and self catering accommodation.
We are passionate about preserving our little corner of the Earth and aim to actively invest in a sustainable future in agriculture. We hope this passion for our beautiful surroundings makes your stay with us unforgettable.

Come And Stay On A Working Family Farm!
Farm life involves the breeding of 400 sheep and 40 Aberdeen Angus cows with calves. All year round managing of livestock and farm maintenance means there’s never a dull day!
We have been involved with Argyll Country Market for some years, supplying fresh produce from September to April. Ifferdale Lamb & Beef can be found at Farmers’ Markets in Lochgilphead, Campbeltown and throughout the west of Scotland where our reputation grows year on year.
Fresh produce is available for purchase including fresh hen and duck eggs.
Sustainable Living in Rural Scotland
The renovation is heated by a Biomass boiler providing endless hot water whilst contributing to the sustainable vision of the farm.
Over the years we have planted shelter belts and hedgerows which have multiplied the local nesting bird population, and swallows return here every year.
Immerse Yourself in Nature
Ifferdale Farm is set deep in the countryside, surrounded by ancient forestry buzzing with wildlife and wildflowers.
Our children are kept active with their hens and ducks along with many other childhood games, climbing trees, buildings dens and cycling.
Walk along the hawthorn hedgerows
and take in the scents of the wildflowers such as wild garlic and dog rose. Picking brambles in autumn add to the pleasurable country holiday.
Nearby Saddell Beach
is great for swimming or paddling. Taking a picnic while watching the oystercatchers at is one of many memorable ways to spend the days around the farm.
